S1 Ep141 - Matthew 19

Jesus talks divorce in this chapter. The Pharisees asked a ridiculous question: “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?” (Verse 3) NO!

It’s also interesting that the disciples tried to keep people from bringing their little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. (Verse 13) Jesus told them to cut it out!

Lastly, Jesus teaches about rich people entering the kingdom of God. “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle…” (Verse 24) 

What’s interesting here is the disciples are up in arms over this statement. It makes me wonder why they’re following Jesus. For riches or because of faith?
